The Youth Empowerment & Arts (YEA) Program is a new IDAAS initiative for high school-aged youth living in the city of Pomona and surrounding areas. The program uses participatory and arts-based workshops to engage and empower youth in their pursuit of higher education, identity, and self-empowerment.

In the summer of 2012, YEA focused on the benefits and barriers of higher education. YEA returns again for a fall session in 2012 on October 20th, and is open and free for all.
